Devcom takes a systematic approach to stakeholder relations management. Our first priority is to understand the business, and why it is important to the stakeholder group(s) in question, as well as why these stakeholders are important to the business.
Communication-based research is used to identify the gaps between the parties. These are then addressed by embedding listening tools and dialogue tools in the business. DevCom understands that internal stakeholders influences external audiences and vice versa. We therefore integrate strategies for both groups.
As a result, stakeholders cease to be faceless, nameless entities. Instead they become real human beings whom we know and understand. In this way, shared value can be created.
The tools of our stakeholder relations trade include stakeholder mapping and stakeholder databases, as well as our network of grassroots community workers. The latter gives us unparalleled capacity to conceptualise and implement effective plans.
